Total vacancies: 1,056 across services including:

• Indian Administrative Service (IAS)
• Indian Police Service (IPS)
• Indian Foreign Service (IFS)
• Indian Revenue Service (IRS)
• Central Services Group A & B

Eligibility

Age: 21-32 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per rules)

Education: Graduate from any recognized university (final year students can apply for Prelims)

Attempts:

• General: 6 attempts
• OBC: 9 attempts
• SC/ST: Unlimited (till age limit)

Examination Pattern

Preliminary Examination (Objective)

• Paper I: General Studies (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours)
• Paper II: CSAT (200 marks, 80 questions, 2 hours) — Qualifying only (33% required)

Main Examination (Written)

• 9 papers including Essay, GS I-IV, Optional (2 papers)
• Total: 1750 marks

Personality Test (Interview)

• 275 marks

Preparation Strategy

Start with NCERT books for foundation, then standard references (Laxmikant for Polity, Spectrum for History). Current affairs from The Hindu and PIB. Previous year papers are essential.
