Examination Pattern
Preliminary Examination (Objective)
- Paper I: General Studies (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours)
- Paper II: CSAT (200 marks, 80 questions, 2 hours) — Qualifying only (33% required)
Main Examination (Written)
- 9 papers including Essay, GS I-IV, Optional (2 papers)
- Total: 1750 marks
Personality Test (Interview)
Preparation Strategy
Start with NCERT books for foundation, then standard references (Laxmikant for Polity, Spectrum for History). Current affairs from The Hindu and PIB. Previous year papers are essential.
