Required Documents

Ensure these are ready as scanned copies before starting the application:

  • Aadhaar Card (mandatory, linked to mobile number used for registration)
  • Birth Certificate or Class 10 passing certificate
  • MBA admission letter from your college (for the 2026-28 batch)
  • College fee payment confirmation/receipt
  • Income Certificate from a competent authority (Tehsildar/DM/Revenue Officer) showing family income ≤ ₹6 lakh. This is the most common rejection reason — ensure it is current (2025-26 FY) and properly issued.
  • Bank passbook/cancelled cheque of the applicant

Note: If no earning member exists, submit a valid no-income certificate from a competent government authority.

Selection Process

  1. Online Application Review — Screened for completeness and eligibility
  2. Document Verification — All uploads verified for authenticity
  3. On-Ground Screening — Bank representatives may visit or contact shortlisted applicants for verification
  4. Final Selection — IDFC FIRST Bank makes final selection at its sole discretion

Important Notes

  • No application fee at any stage. If anyone asks you to pay, it is a fraud.
  • Funds go to the college — not to your bank account
  • You must provide accurate information; false information leads to scholarship revocation and reimbursement of disbursed amounts
  • Year 2 scholarship is conditional on passing Year 1 and being promoted to Year 2
  • If you drop out or switch colleges, the scholarship is forfeited

Which Colleges Are Eligible?

The eligible college list is published on the official application portal. Major colleges typically included in previous cycles include IIMs (not all), NIT Schools of Management, reputed state university MBA programmes, and selected private B-schools. Download the current list from the portal at https://www.idfcfirst.bank.in/csr-activities/educational-initiatives/mba-scholarship before applying — the list changes each year.
